2012 Teacher: Reid Tulloch

Unalakleet Team

My name is Reid Tulloch and I chose a goofy picture to show you. I was born and raised in a log cabin in Petersburg, AK. Petersburg is a small Norwegian village between Juneau and Ketchikan. It has about 3000 people and is a very strong commercial fishing community. Now I live in Unalakleet, AK which has a population of around 700. My wife, Angela, and I have two kids, Rogan who is 2 ½, and Weston who is 9 months old. I have 3 older brothers who are 8, 10, and 12 years older then me.

Once when I was about 7 years old I was hanging out with my family and some family friends at a cabin out in the woods near Petersburg. Somehow, when I was walking along a trail there I took a wrong turn and got lost. I had no idea how to get back. I kept hiking and yelling occasionally and crying. I was wet and kind of cold and had no idea what lay in store for me. However, a couple hours later, one of the family friends found me and now it is just a bad dream.

In five years I will probably be teaching Shop in Unalakleet like I am now. I’ll have more toys and possibly a house and more kids. I have no idea where I’ll be in twenty years. I am leaving that up to God to tell me where I need to be. My favorite song is “Beautiful Life” by ACE OF BASE and my Favorite food is Lasagna or Homeade pizza with pineapple on it. If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Europe, Manila in the Phillipines, and Hawaii. During the school year I spend a lot of time with my family. Some fun activites include working on my snowmachines or fourwheeler, going out on the machines, crabbing through the ice, playing computer games and watching lots of movies and show and playing board games. In the summer I travel to MT to see family that moved there and go commercial fishing.
