Unalakleet Team
My name is Darien Southall and I live in Unalakleet, Alaska. I was born in an Anchorage hospital on December 2, 1993. My family is rather large, but in my immediate family I have my mom, my dad, and my siblings. I have a bunch of siblings, both brothers and sisters that are around the states, but most of them live in Alaska.
The scariest thing that I have experienced was my first four-wheeler accident and being trapped in a ditch for a certain amount of time afterwards. In the future I plan on working in the justice field as a forensic specialist and I hope that I can continue to work to get that far.
My favorite song has to be by a Japanese artist called Domino and the song it “U Can Do It.” Also, I love Spinach Cobb Salad with Poppy Seed dressing. Along with liking Japanese music, I love the culture and hope that I can visit the country one day. I, also, would love to go to Sweden and Norway to see the places my ancestors come from.
My free time is spent reading and writing. I work around my homework and responsibilities to the Youth Leader team in school to read fun books to entertain my imagination. Each summer varies for me depending on what is coming the next year or if I plan to work. If I don’t do anything that consumes my time during the summer I enjoy riding along the beach and tundra, swimming and going on picnics with my family.
