2012 Student: Chelsey Larsen

Unalakleet Team

Hello, my name is Chelsey Larsen. I was born in Nome, Alaska, and raised in Anchorage. I now live in Unalakleet, Alaska. It just southwest of Nome. I live with my grandma and my older sister. A lot of people say that we look like twins, but we’re 16 months apart. I have two sisters and one brother. They’re all older than me, and two of them already graduated.

The scariest experience I’ve had was probably doing this activity called high ropes. What we had to do was climb to the top of a pole and jump to the bar that was hanging in front of us. It was pretty scary for me because I am terrified of heights and I was in tears when I got to the ground.

In five years I see myself in a welding school. I would like to try underwater welding training for the Coast Guard.

My favorite food is biscuits and gravy. I could eat it all day long if I never got full!!

Three places I’d love to go are Italy, Spain, and Germany. Those places just seem like a fantastic place to vacation at.

The way spend my free time during the school year is visiting my friends that already graduated or that haven’t. We usually play games; listen to music and talk, or some other stuff I can’t say. I stay inside every day because it’s below freezing!! I remember one day it was 3° outside and everyone thought it was super warm. Days before that, it was always -25 to -35 with a freezing windchill.
